I Want My Half Pound Please

I love MyFitnessPal, but I feel cheated. I lost 1.5 pounds this week; however, the program doesn't display half pounds. Sigh. I'm sure it all equals out in the end and I'll get my half pound back in my public results later, but I'd like every bit of credit I deserve. I worked hard for that half pound.

So the real grand total of weight loss for last week is 1.5 pounds! Yay!

  1. Yay, baby! And, hey, every half pound counts, even if MyFitnessPal ignores it. ;-)

    I'm at 223.3 lbs. this morning. Soo...I think I'm about the same.

  2. Whoo Hoo!!! I lost 2:-) That makes 5 gone forever. Keep up the good work!!! We can do this. The hardest thing for me is not weighing everyday, but I sure like the surprise at the beginning of each week!

    1. Yay, Mom! And you thought you wouldn't lose anything. Two pounds is great! I knew you'd lose. It's hard for me to not weigh in during the week too.

  4. Cheers for @Jimmy and @Christy! I weighed myself on Friady and lost 1 pound. I was disappointed. I was hoping I lost 3 or 4 to start, but I'll take 1. I'm trying to stick with it more this week so I have a better loss on Friday.

    @Steven it's hard! Don't give up!

    1. Hey, I've also heard that losing 1 lb. a week is the way to it. Even though we'd rather lose more, more quickly, it tends to stay off if we lose it slowly.

      I was actually at 225.5 last week and this morning I was at 223.3, so technically I lost 2.2 lbs. It just doesn't feel like it. ;P

      Hang in there! Baby steps...;-)

    2. Thanks @Steven! I've heard that 1-2 pounds is a healthy loss, but boy would I like to lose more every week! :) I'm hanging in.

      Congrats on your 2.2lbs!

    3. One pound is great @Sarah! @Steven right, one pound a week is healthy. I'm with you though, I'd like to lose more each week, especially in the beginning, but we have to keep the big picture in mind. I'll take one pound over no pounds any day. Keep it up!

    4. Yay for you Sarah! Low is slow is the way to go. Healthier for you and you will be more likely to keep it off. Just remember you didn't put that weight on overnight so it stancds to reason that it will take a little while to give it away:-) Keep up the good work and just keep moving forward!

  5. @Jimmye: You go, girl!

    @Michelle: Nice to see you! :-) Thanks for the encouragement. I've only got about 10 pounds to lose, but from what I've heard, sometimes that can be the toughest. But I'm gonna do it. Someday I'll be able to strut around in racer-back tank tops and nylon biker shorts without sucking in my gut! (Okay, maybe not that exact clothing.) See you next Monday! :-)

    2. LOL! Yeah, I'm with you there. Even if you're built like a Greek god or goddess, that kinda stuff is a little, hmm, showy. :-P
